Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what's needed to run the service, we don't sell it, and payment card details never touch our servers.
Last updated: July 2, 2026
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and a salted hash of your password (we never store the password itself). If you enable two-factor authentication, the associated secret is stored to verify your codes.
- Usage data: the domain names you submit for valuation or search, credit consumption, and feature usage. This is how quotas, history, and billing work.
- Payment data: subscriptions and credit purchases are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's pages and never reach our servers; we store only Stripe's references (customer, subscription, and payment identifiers) and your plan status.
- Technical data: IP addresses and request metadata in server logs, used for security, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- To provide the service: running valuations, tracking credits, and maintaining your account.
- To send transactional email only (verification links, password resets, and billing notices). We do not send marketing email.
- To protect the service: detecting abuse, enforcing rate limits, and keeping the platform available.
- Domain names submitted for valuation may be processed by third-party infrastructure and analysis providers as part of producing the appraisal. Aggregated, non-identifying usage may inform our market statistics and model improvements.
Cookies & local storage
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and browser local storage to remember interface preferences (such as the light/dark theme). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers required to operate DomainTier (payment processing, infrastructure), or if required by law.
Retention & deletion
Account data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account from the account page at any time; this removes your personal data, while anonymized usage records may be retained for accounting and abuse-prevention purposes. Server logs rotate on a short schedule.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections, or request deletion. Contact support (at) domaintier.com and we'll respond promptly.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and revise the date above. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
